What Is Live Scan?
Live Scan is electronic fingerprinting. It is used for background checks. If you are applying for a license, certification, permit, employment, volunteer or other application, you may require a live scan. In previous years you had to go to a police department for a background check. Now there are local small business that provide this service.

What Is An Oath?
An Oath is a solemn affirmation, declaration or promise, made under responsibility to God, for the truth of what is stated or the faithful performance of what is undertaken. Under various statues, different forms of affirmation or solemn declaration are allowed in lieu of an Oath. In the state of California, an Oath or Affirmation is acceptable.
How do I get a background check?
Do you ever wonder what may be on your criminal record? People request background checks on themselves for various reasons. If it’s for employment, visa, immigration or you just want to know what is on your record, there is a process. A full background check requires fingerprints. The information should go through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Need a Notary and No Current ID?
A signer may use two credible witnesses personally known to the signer. Each credible witness must have a valid ID. A credible witness can not be named in the document.
Does a document need to be signed in the presence of a Notary?
It depends, Documents requiring acknowledgments normally do not need to be signed in the Notary’s presence. However, the signer must appear before the Notary at the time of notarization to acknowledge that he or she freely signed for the purpose stated in the document.
On the other hand, documents requiring a jurat must be signed in the presence of the Notary. A jurat indicates that the individual signed and gave an oath or affirmation in the presence of the Notary.
Great service. Called Teresa up and she was out the next day with her mobile service to fingerprint at our office. Very convenient and the process was hassle free. Teresa was timely, professional, and most of all efficient! We will definitely keep her in mind for future services. Thanks again Teresa for the great customer service!
Notary Plus Mobile Service (Teresa) was prompt, professional and quick. I highly recommend her to all you busy people out there!
I had the pleasure of meeting with Teresa for an hour yesterday and I look forward to working with her in the near future. I like her business ethic and solid foundation as well as her easy going personality. Teresa has a great business and lots to offer the public… definitely getting my referrals!!!
Teresa saved me! I mistakenly left my laptop at security at John Wayne airport. I didn’t realize it until I was in San Francisco. From there, I was headed to Dallas and didn’t time to return to John Wayne – plus, it would’ve cost about $1k to change my flights. Teresa picked my laptop up at the airport and over-nighted it to Dallas via Fedex for me. I had some ridiculously important data on it and no recent backup; she saved me many, many hours of re-creating the data. Thank you, Teresa!
Teresa was on-time and her estimate over the phone was the amount we paid!
